Activity Snapshot
Activity description
This thrilling whitewater rafting trip takes you through the valley leading to Zermatt and the 4,478 meters high Matterhorn, one of the most iconic mountains of the alpine region.
Against this spectacular backdrop, discover the broad variety of the river Vispa - from gentle streams to powerful currents. Its source is located at the foot of the Matterhorn Glacier.
The Vispa river runs for about 9 km through Switzerland near the town of Visp where the camp of the guides is based. After being welcomed and instructed by your guide, you will start preparing for the exciting ride on the river.
Each raft will be accompanied by a certified and professional guide who will safely lead you throughout the entire tour from Stalden to Visp. The journey on the river takes about 1 hour and 15 min and you will learn how to master rapids which range from Class 2 to Class 3+.
The river is challenging but not too extreme and therefore perfect for your first rafting experience.
Expect 2h30 for the whole activity. Of this time you will be on the water for 1-1.5 hours.
